Full Version: Extending C Drive Into Free Space

After trying Linux and not liking it, I uninstalled it. I have 100 GB of free space that is no longer part of the Windows partition, instead it is coloured light green and labelled free space. I cannot extend the Windows partition into it. What do I do?

That's what I see on the Vista partition editor.

What prevents you extending the C: partition, lazyguy? If you right-click C:, is the Extend option not active? (The dialog shown appears to be for the free space?)

n/m, not sure I'm right and it might be destructive ;-)

@ Platypus: Yes, it was greyed out.

Thanks for the help, but after a few hours of booting, Skyping friends on the desktop, and rebooting, I've managed to get Vista up and running again.

After turning it off for the night I discovered that there was a problem with the GRUB, and I couldn't boot in Vista at all.

So I Skyped my Linu guru friend (the one that got me into this mess, no less) and we managed to sort everything out by using GParted and ms-sys via the LiveCD.

Thank you both for your help!
