I was having a virus/malware issue. It seemed to never delete however the problem has subsided. I do have a log posted on the apprporaite board.

My question is this: During the virus scan it picked up some dll files that I chose to delete. Now when I reboot I get error messages. I'm not sure if the dll files are required for Windows and need to be reinstalled. If anyone can answer or recognizes these dll's I'd greatly appreciate knowing what they are for.

Here are the error messages:

c:\Users\Deb\AppData\Local\Temp\ofKxkiyb.dll
" " " " \pgnnckks.dll
' " " \yayYRLBu.dll
" " " \MlJAtUOI.dll

Googling for any of the dll files just leads to your HijackThis log (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q...s.dll&meta=). It is likely that these are malware files which have been deleted by your anti-virus, and Windows is trying to load them, but can't find them. Hence the error messages.

Since you have a log posted, it advisable not to change your system settings, etc.

bamadeb,

Now that you have an open HJT log posted in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum, you shouldn't make any changes to your system.
Doing so, could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system.

At this point, the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

I'm closing this topic until you are cleared by the HJT Team.
If, after your log has been cleaned, you still need help, please PM a Moderator and we will re-open this topic.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a PM.
