HEY THERE!!

I have had this download accelerator plus on my system, the problem is it has adware so i decided to install but is having problems removing all its other components from the system.

Is there a way around this please?

Thanks

Exactly what problems is the uninstall encountering?
DAP is bad... if you really want something good (and you can pay) try Internet Download Manager. For free Free Download Manager has been said to be pretty good.
Try uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller. You should be able to clean most of the mess up.

Hi,

Tried but the problem still persists. The folder C:\Program Files\DAP\History\Guest refuses to be deleted or removed. It says the user has no permissions. I have an XP servive pack2 and using the admin profile, so i dont know what "permissions" its talking about

.....That's a new one....
Random solution: Try Unlocker and delete on reboot if necessary.
Tell me how things turn out? smile.gif

ok here we go, print this out...

Reboot your computer (to make sure windows didnt bug up on you) try to delete the folder...
If that doesnt work.

Reboot the computer, and press F8 repeditively when you first start up (before the windows screen) when you get a selection screen, select "Safe Mode"
while in safe mode try to delete the folder.

If that doesn't work restart again, pressing F8 and select "safe mode with command prompt"

you will see C:\

here you will type (with quotes)

CODE
DELTREE "C:\Program Files\DAP\History\Guest"

press enter

now type
CODE
shutdown -r -t 05

press enter again

your computer should restart within 5 seconds.

if this doesnt work, you may have to use the programs listed above by the other posters.
