I have a Dell Inspiration 8600 with XP. It's locked up right now and will only partially operate in safe mode.
1. I went into the registry edit and found what I thought was he problem. This line item deleted was "NvCplDaemon Reg_52 RUNDLL32.EXE C:\Windows\System32\NvCpl.dll.NvStartop.
2. After deleting this line item, I restarted and received the following errors (disabling te computer, not allowing an internet connection)

First error message MPFDrv.exe - Application Error
X The exception unknown software exception -(Oxc007e) occured in the application at location Ox7c812a5b.

Windows Defender
X Application failed to initialize: Ox800100a4. A problem caused this program dervice to stop. To start the service, restart computer or search help and support for how to start a service manually.
Any suggestion to guide me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
