hi i need help with my wireless connection. Everytime i try i put my network key it comes up with this message. "the network password needs to be 40bits or 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.

what type of encryption are you using on your access point/router, if it's WPA/WPA2? If it is that only means that your current Windows XP version does not have supoprt for WPA, here's one or two things that you could do;

- change the encrytion type to WEP(64/128 depending on your preference)

- download the patch for WPA on the microsoft website;
