Hello everyone...

I have what I think might be a small, but annoying problem. I have a recurring error in the windows event viewer. I am looking in the Administrative events Log and I see that the event ID of the error is 7001. The source says "Service Control Manager EventLog Provider". The error is occuring about 20 times simultaneously, usually around the time that windows boots up. I am not sensing anything unusual about my machine, but the hard disk seems to be spinning for about 5 minutes or so everytime windows boots up.

Does anyone have some advice for me? I'm not accustomed to working with windows on this level. Thanks!
Juha
I have been able to locate the following relevant articles:
Event ID 7001 Is Logged in the System Event Log
Computer Is Slow to Start and Event ID 7001 Messages Are Logged in the System Event Log

The first link might be more closely related to yours... but see if any of them help.

Pretty close, but I don't have the devices in my device manager that the article was referencing.

This is not a huge inconvenience, but it makes me wonder what is going on during the boot process...??
