Yesterday we had a disc drive failure within windows, and the only solution was to format the drive. So I backed up what I was told to back up, completely forgetting about the .pst file for outlook to import on the fresh install. So, long story short, I was sweating like mad trying to find the fragmented files, I found 26 different .pst files within the drive, spanning from 2kb all the way to 1.99 GB. (Read: I recovered these files after the format was complete) I tried to import the larger ones as I know those are usually the personal folders, well errors came back and it could not be completed. So I tried the scanpst.exe built in with outlook, it said it fixed the errors, so I tried to import again, it said values were outside the parameters and canceled itself. There are about 2 years worth of orders in there that I need to recover, I have them right in front of me, I just hope they're able to be fully imported within outlook. Does anyone have any solutions? Or suggestions?

Worth a shot

"For seriously corrupted PST files, try running Scandisk.exe (look under Programs | Accessories | System Tools) first, then Scanpst.exe, repeating 3-4 times until neither program returns an error. We've know this technique to restore data that the user though was lost forever."
