Can someone help me please.

I am suddenly having problems with IE shutting down unexpectently. No warning, nothing. I can be online, then suddenly Im back to the desktop.
The PC doesnt reboot at all, the problem is just Internet Explorer.

I have Win XP Home SP11
IE 6
Zone Alarm free
Avast free
Windows Defender
Spywareblaster
Spybot
Superantispyware

I'd like to help you, but before I can I need to gather some more information.

Please go to Start -> Run and type in


On the tree diagram on the left pane, expand the Event Viewer.
Right click on each log, select "Save log file as..." and save each with a unique name to your desktop.
Finally, go to http://billy-oneal.com/fileUpload/ and upload each of the event logs.

Have a look in the Event Viewer for any errors at the time IE shuts down.

To open the Event Viewer go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. Alternately, go to Start > Run and type in "eventvwr.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter.

Check in all the categories (Application, Security, System and Internet Explorer).

If you find an error that occurred at the time right-click on it and select properties. Copy the information in the window and post it back here. This will help us diagnose your problem.

How To Use the Event Viewer

The Event ID is 59 and the source is 'Sidebyside'

I have looked at the descriptions:
one was: 'General Acivation Context failed for C:Doc and Settings\Application Data\HouseCall6.6\MFC8OU.DLL. Reference error message.' * note: I was trying to do a scan with Trend Micro House Call at this point when IE6 closed.

another one was: 'Resolve Partial Assembly failed for Microsoft VC80.MFCLOC. Reference error message. The refered assembly is not installed on your system.'

another one says: 'Dependent Assempy Microsoft VC80.MFCLOC could not be found. The reference assembly is not installed on your system.'
