To make a long story short, I have windows running off the harddrive 2 slot in my Dell inspiron 1720. Windows media center wont come up correctly (when i push the media center button next to the power button) because it is looking for the program in harddrive slot 1. Any idea (if any) on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

This would have something to do with a setting in the Dell program that controls these buttons. Some of the settings are hard coded in, and some can be changed - you'd have to determine which program is doing this in order to figure out if it can be changed.
