Having stumbled on various 'duplicated' threads by the same member,

may I suggest a thread is created somewhere for us to post links TO these threads to alert staff of their needing attention ( consolidating)?

this will save the need to PM a staff member and allow folks to see if duplicates have been 'picked up' and notified

My recent discovery has been of two virtually identical threads by the same author but in completley different sections of the forum; this can result in inappropriate advise and guidance given

Yes I have seen that too.

Moderators pick up duplicate threads pretty quickly,and it's quite easy to alert staff by PM,IMO.
I have seen this happen quite often with members,who have submitted HJT Logs.
Not prepared to wait, they post their problem, in another Forum.
I think having an alert thread,is not really necessary.
