So Before I ran a full Ad Aware scan, I manually went to all the Temporary Internet Files for all the users and deleted the contents with Shift-DEL. I also ran cleanmgr, and selected Temp Internet Files, etc. so all Temporary Internet Files should be fully deleted from my hard drive.

I then fire up a full scan in Ad Aware, and it is taken over 20 minutes on some "Temporary Internet Files" directory that doesn't exist. I mean I searched my entire hard drive for all "Temporary Internet Files" and there is nothing in them. So where the heck is Ad Aware finding such a directory and thousands of files. At this rate it might take 5 hours to complete the scan.

Unfortunately, the Current Path field isn't long enough to show the entire path, I just see "...s\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KH6NA9YR\

This is frustrating, but I guess I just have to let it run. But does anyone have any ideas why it is looking at files that I deleted. They are not in any Recycle Bin directory either.

Thanks
TMacK
Hi bytor99999,

I see you have a HJT log posted in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum.

You shouldn't make any changes to your system, while your HJT log is posted, as that could change the results of the posted log, making it difficult to properly clean your system.
At this point, the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

This topic will now be closed, since you have an open log posted.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.
