When I load new update for Vista(KB940510), and then restart computer, the display alters, and goes into a very small mode, so I had to go to recovery to an earlier date, to get display back to normal.
Any help out there?

Are you sure that this is a legimate install of Vista? The update is designed to identify activation exploits ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940510 ).

Otherwise, I'd have to suggest updating your video drivers to the latest version available from the manufacturer of your video chipset (NOT the computer manufacturer).
