When attempting to burn a CD using Nero 6, I receive an error. When I attempt the same burning using Windows Media Player it appears to burn ok (no errors shown), but the cd-r is still blank. Attached is a copy of the Nero log file.

Hmmm...you might try it using Track At Once, rather than DAO.

I use Nero 6.6 also and I also use the DAO setting, but...it's an experiment we are conducting.

I guess that I have to ask...what are you using to view the contents of the "burned CD"? Have you tried inserting the disk and then letting Nero tell you how much space is on the disk?

Thanks for the quick reply Louis. I'm new this this forum stuff, so it's taking me a while to get familiar and comfortable.

I will try the Track at once approach. The reason I believe the MS Media Player did not actually burn the disc is two fold. I tried playing it and it is not recognized and when I visually look at it, I can see it is not burned.

Just an update to my issue. Seems my cd/dvd burned HP1040i (which shows as 1040d in most log files) does not like Hitachi/Maxell cd media. I inserted a Lightscribe cd (cmc?) brand, and it burned like a champ. Of course I now get a Lightscribe Internal error when I attempt to burn a lightscribe label, but that's an issue for another day.
