IA CANNOT CONTACT WITH BLEEPINGCOMPUTER, BECAUSE THE PAGE INSITS TAHT THE E MAIL ADDRESS WHERE I AM RECEIVING THE MESSAGES FROM BLEEPINGCOMPUTE IS NOT VALID.

I NEED TO STOP RECEVING NOTIFICATION MESSAGES WHEN A NEW TOPIC HAS BEEN RECEIVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THA MATTER IS UHCEKCD SINCE A POGNWHILE!!!!!!! MANY THANKS. PLEASE FIX THAT MOST UNCONVENIENT REJECTING OF E MAIL ADDRESSES.

Which email address is it that you are having trouble with specifically? No one else has complained about a problem, so if there is one, we would like to fix it.

The most funny issue is to that e mail address are successfully sent your messages, but I cannot fulfill a contact with you because the web rejects my e mail address written above. I DO NOT USE OR OPEN ANY OTHER ONE. Many thanks.

You can't reply to the e-mail that sends you Topic and Forum updates.

I haven't say that. I am saying that my address is being rejected when I try to contact Bleeping C. saying that's an invalid e mail address in circumstances that I receive all Bleeping C messages to that address without any trouble, and that is a commercial e mail address (paid) from the biggest server here arrounbd that I use worldwide. I perfectly know that messages cannot be replied to themselves. Kind regards and many thanks.

How are you trying to contact BC? What are you doing? From what you say, it appears that you are using your regular e-mail account.

In order to contact a specific member, moderator, etc. of BC, we use the Private Message system. You can read how to do this here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic33018.html

Hello, OrangeBlosssom. Well I tried twice to contact with BC throught the normal contact link, filling all the spaces and the system returned me the message saying that I needed a "valid" e mail address. Can it be more clear? Many, many thanks.

Ah, now I know what you are talking about. I had to search the forum to find the Contact Us form. I didn't know it existed and consequently have never used it, so I'm afraid I cannot assist you with that particular issue. To contact specific members, site administrators etc., I use the private messaging system as I stated in my previous post.

I was successful sending a message using the contact us link. If you wish for me to try the link, using your email address, I will be happy to test it. Just PM it to me.

As an alternate, you could PM the board admin Grinler. I believe he receives this email.

In this moment I do not wish to do that. I tried already twice, to communicate with you through the link and twice I received a rejection of my e mail address saying that's "invalid". I thank you, and everybody trying to help me and I advice not to try with your addresses but try to fix what's going on with mine. It functions for my whole hard internet and e mail doing everyday worldwide. It's a paid account of the biggest company here arround. And, specially, this is the address where I have received the many messages from you that I receive everyday including this last from you. Most kind regards and thanks.

I think we are having a communication problem here. So, let's go over some things again and see if we can straighten things out.

1) You tried twice to use the Contact Us form and it says that your e-mail address is not valid.

2) You have no other problems with your e-mail address.

3) Rigel tested the Contact Us form using his/her e-mail address, and there was no problem.

Which leaves the question: Why does the Contact Us form not work with your e-mail address?

In order to find out, some things need to be tested. Rigel has offered to test the form again using YOUR e-mail address to see exactly what happens. Is it a problem with the form? If Rigel has no problems using the form with your e-mail address, then we know the problem is with neither the form OR your e-mail address but something else. If it doesn't work, maybe the form doesn't recognize e-mail addresses from that area, maybe it's something else with the form and Grinler will know that he needs to do something to fix that problem.

Rigel also gave you an alternative. You could send a Private Message to Grinler and explain your e-mail problem with the Contact Us form. Note that the Private Message system is NOT the same as using the Contact Us form and does not use your e-mail address. I provided a link in post 8 that provides directions for using the Private Message system.

I hope this clarifies matters.

Sorry, but as I cannot add a topic I would wish to get help about he most funny trouble that my old universal, paid e mail address, where I receive BC messages and every other messages from arround the world is rejected by BC when I try to contact through the usual form. It's say that's "an invalid e mail address". I claim abouth this and I didn't get any solution for, just a few minutes ago, I tried to contact again, and again my e mail address as rejected. Sorry, please, and many thanks for your understanding. I do not have any other way to ask for help about such a fundamental matter.

Have you sent a PM to Grinler to see if he can find out what the problem is? He will need to know what your e-mail address is in order to discern the problem.

Your initial post contained two issues:

1) The abundance of e-mails received.

2) The inability to contact BC via the contact form.

I know that the first issue was resolved. However, as you pointed out in your latest post and elsewhere, the second issue has not. My question in my most recent post addresses that issue.

That question is in reference to the second issue that is still unresolved.

I know you are frustrated, but please refrain from using all capitals, it is the equivalent to shouting and is difficult to read as well.

Also, in future, please address only 1 issue per topic. That helps avoid misunderstandings such as occurred just now.

I WANT TO POINT THIS:

1.- MY USUAL E ADDRESS, THAT THAT'S USED BY BC TO SUCCESSFULLY SEND ME MESSAGES IS REJECTED AS AN "INVALID ADDRESS" BY THE "CONTACT" FORM. IT'S A MOST INCOHERENT SITUATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN FIXED UNTIL TODAY, BECAUSE I TRIED AGAIN TO CONTACT A FEW MINUTES AGO (APRIL 11, 08), AND I GOT THE SAME INCONVENIENT. THIS E MAIL ADDRESS IS A "PAID" ONE FROM THE BIGGEST SERVER HERE AROUND AND I USE IT AROUND THE WORLD IN ALL MY VARIOUS ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING RECEIVING MESSAGGES FROM BC AND OPENING AN ACCOUNT THERE.-

2.- WHEN I TRIED, NOW, WITH A SIMPLE FREE ACCOUNT OF GMAIL MY CONTACT WAS ACCEPTED INMEDIATELY.-

3.- THE FACT THAT MY CASE IS THE "FIRST CASE" BC HAS GOTTEN, DOESN'T MAKE IT LESS FUNNY AND DISAGREABLE.-

IT'S STRANGE THAT I HAVN'T RECEIVED EITHER GOOD EXPLANATIONS OR THE FIXING OF THE TROUBLE.

I THANK EVERYBODY VERY MUCH FOR THE EFFORT BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY ADDRESS.

Hello,

I've checked to see if your email address has somehow gotten banned and it hasn't. That is about all any of the staff can do for you. At this point your only option is to send a PM to the site owner, Grinler, as already suggested. He is the only person with root access to the forum software, so is the only one with ability to see if there is a glitch somewhere.

Thank you for reporting this problem. Unfortunately it is not a high priority. Please don't take this as a personal affront as you do seem to be doing. No one is singling you out that I know of and as with many things having to do with computers, the reason for the glitch may not have a simple explanation or solution if it is known at all.

You have already found a workaround for the problem--using a different email address. That should serve the purpose, it should be more important that you are able to use the contact link one way or another. I hope when you did use your Gmail address that you informed Grinler of this problem. As site owner he is the only one that is able to read those and that is what the contact link is for, to let us know of issues with the site itself. The beauty of computers is that there are nearly always alternatives. Thus we ask that you use PM's if you can't use the contact link.

Please be patient once you have contacted Grinler. He is a very busy man, both with his personal life and running this site. There is really no need to panic and continue to contact other staff about this issue--thanks again for reporting it.

I agree. You are very wise. But I have not become paranoic; it's just that I found that I still had the problem. I will use gmail and stop. Kind and friendly regards
