See for yourself. Its odd. In the base C: there's a driver file for a NIC with the same icon. I've just always thought it was kind of odd for my HDD to show up with a PCI icon lol. The drive works great does its job just that bit of weirdness.

Boot into Safe Mode and delete the iconcache.db file from your profile directory in C:/Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Application Data (typically located there) and reboot. Your original icon should be restored.

Said that file on the first link wasn't valid 32 bit application, but the guy on the other forum you linked was right, had an autorun in there from a while back when i was messing with drivers, thanks that was really strange
