For those of you that don't know what Urban dead is here's a quick rundown:
"In death, the city stirs. Its borders still locked down after a sudden government quarantine two years ago, Malton's trapped civilians make their way through the derelict buildings, surviving the changing seasons to rebuild their fragmented society from the rubble upwards. Military cleanup squads patrol the empty streets, stationed in the city for the long haul, while embedded scientific groups continue the experiments that brought them here.

And the dead rise up and thrive, trailing through the ruined streets of the city, milling between buildings and clawing through makeshift barricades and diversions, reclaiming the city as their own. "

The game has been around for several years and has a very large playerbase. Lately the creator, Kevan, has created a Diary of the dead promotional city in which "Romero's Rules" apply, meaning once you become a zombie, you cannot be revived you are permanently zombie (note:you can make new char. though), and a new item has been introduced, the video camera.

"To celebrate the launch of George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, we've opened a temporary second map in the city of Monroeville. Create a new character there and you can loot a video camera to edit together your own video diary of the zombie apocalypse, with Romero box-set prizes available for UK players."
