Hi guys,

I appear to be having Network Card difficulties. In Device Manager NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller has an error code 10 saying it cannot start. I've tried uninstalling the drivers to no avail.

I recently had a corrupted registry which made my computer continously reboot as a result of an lsass.exe error. I fixed this after somce advice which involved a little bit of correcting. It could be possible that these two are related?

Anyway, I have no idea wheer to start diagonosing this problem. I imagine you need some details of my computer which I can get to you when I know what is needed.

"I've tried uninstalling the drivers to no avail" -- presumably you re-installed the drivers after that, otherwise it will never work!

Try updating to newer drivers. If the card was supplied ready-fitted to the PC when new, drivers should be obtained from either the PC maker's website or the motherboard maker's website.

If fitted after the PC was built, search NVidia driver website for newer version.

System manufacturer/model.

Agreed with Hamluis, Its near impossible to diagnose a problem with out model numbers and the make/manufacture of the computer

Possible solution here, but again depends on your setup!

I've been stupidly busy over the last few months so put this issue to the side but it's still unresolved. I have tried reinstalling and I get the same error.
Here are a few details about the computer:

I might try a repair install first...but I concur with the thinking expressed above.

I forgot to mention, and rather significantly, that Windows XP was pre-installed on the system so I have no CD.

Get one....if you have a valid license, you can borrow one or have someone burn you one. Or do a system recovery/whatever from recovery partition (if you have one).

It's the license that is critical, not the media.
