My Desktop recently crashed motherboard and power supply.

I purchased a Gateway for basically the cost of the above mentioned.

I have personal data saved, my question is "How do I re install Office Pro 2007 on my new machine.

I have the disk and the key but I'm assuming Microsoft will say this key is being used on another computer.

Is this correct?? If so what do I do.

I am a 61 year old rookie, but I'm trying to learn.

I thank you all for all you do.

You should not have any problems. If you do, a simple call to M$ should straighten things out. There is also an open source alternative to M$ Office

First off thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Laughing I assume M$ is Microsoft. That was my first thought, but you get on the phone with a 100 prompts. Is there a direct number should I need it..?

I will as you suggest, just try and re install.

Again I really appreciate the input garmanma.

If it happens and is similar to when you have to re-certify XP, it will prompt you and also give you a number. Probably different that the regular M$ numbers which should ease the auto system Hell somewhat
