Hi, I think I may have changed a setting on the PC and I can stream video files but it doesn't always allow me to view them. Have tried deleting and downloading new media player but still no joy. Any ideas would be gratefully received

This sounds like a codec problem.
Different video files can be compressed in different ways.
Try downloading DivX Player or VLC and viewing the videos with one of those two programs.
If that works, try media player again, as installing the DivX should make new codecs available to it.
