Thanks everyone for your words of wisdom

Mz, I am still an underclassman at GTG. I am just making the finishing touches to my PL3. Then I'll get to work on PL4. I'm trying to do well in the Geek U program and I would say I am. I just can't study as freequently because I am back at school.
So to answer my original question; why haven't I heard back from the mods/teachers here? I know I probably didn't make the cut but I'm just curious is all

As you are ,by your own admission, already IN one training school, why seek admission to another one? If you think that the Training on any other site will be 'easier' or quicker, then
think again; the Training is quite intentionally hard ; you are at present attempting to clean 'virtual' machines? IF you DO Pass the initial stages and get to post TO Live logs you will then be trying to clean REAL PEOPLE's machines who will rely COMPLETELY on YOUR instructions TO clean them
be patient, get on with the Training you do have the priviledge to be doing and do it well
and a comment to Matty;you will have noticed on most ANY forum you are on that there are Levels of Membership?

I've never had any "formal training" in malware detection and removal, but I'm pretty confident in my abilities. I've been working with computers since the dark ages Before Microsoft, and have studied every version of Windows since 3.0. (My brother wrote the first book published, concerning the Windows OS.) But it seems to be the same thing in cyberspace as it is in the real world - knowledge and experience count for nothing without that "degree"
knowledge and experience DO count BUT you will find that that knowledge and experience have to be actively demonstrated to someone before you are allowed to apply it ; I Mentor Students and Junior staff ( and, where necessary supervise ( or comment on) the Practice and safety of Senior Staff too); the Student can say to me ' I know how to do that proceedure '; BUT before that student is allowed to go near a human being I need to assess her/his abilities or lack of to perform a proceedure correctly , safetly and with causing no harm
In the computering world , on any reputable forum site you WILL find that ANY section with HJT logs in it WILL have STRICT rules and regulations on who is and who is NOT permitted to post to those logs
if you wish TO post TO logs your best bet might be to demonstrate your experitise TO this work by joining one of the Schools available and, if you are as up to parr as you are suggesting WITH recognising the growing number of infections and the rapidly changing appropriate tools to use to clean them you would progress rather quickly THROUGH that Training process ( unless of course you have stuff/methods to UNLEARN)
another forum I am on does not have a log section as such BUT those who DO respond TO threads with logs in them ARE members of
