Hey hows it going.......the backllight on my dell xps m140 keeps flashing every so often i have updated all the video drivers and such and still it continues to flash does any one have some suggestions to fix this??

Check the connections. A wire can be broke with the outside insulation still intact, or get a new backlight

i think ive put two n two together and it didnt start this untill i replaced the ac charger with an aftermarket one.. is it possible the since it isnt the exact same ac charger that it has some effect on the back light because when the ac charger isnt plugged in it doesnt flash?????????

It's a possibility. Especially if you didn't match the amp. output

i think it does have something to do with it...wow never trusting that store again.......as soon as i can afford a new ac adapter im getting one straight from dell...thanks broseph
