I'm considering installing the Free McAfee SiteAdvisor Tool, rather than going to the site each time I want to check on a URL. Their page loads very slowly for me.

Can anyone who has used it with IE (especially on Vista) give me a report on its effectiveness? Also, does it use much in the way of system resources or bandwidth?

Thanks.

Hi Dialer
Ive been using Site Advisor for almost a year and its one of the most fantastic things Ive ever had for my browsers smile.gif

McAfee Site Advisor is very effective in IE7 and on Vista (as I am not a vista user I dont know this first hand but ive heard good things smile.gif )

It is very light on your system (you will forget its there after a while thats how light laugh.gif
And it doesnt use hardly any bandwidth (if it does it isnt noticible and Im on dial up too is thats how I know smile.gif )

Dont worry about the Site Advisor pages loading slowly. I get this too smile.gif.

I highly recommend site advisor. But it would be nice if it could be used for opera.
Happy surfing and good luck with Site Advisor if you choose to use it :D

Thanks, TZ. That's very helpful info, especially since you're on dialup too.

(Heh - I keep wanting to call you Taz, as in mania - hysterical.gif ).

Ruby1, you can go to the home page and enter the URL right there. (Don't include http:// or www.)
