Hi,

I'm not sure if I am posting this in the right place, so please forgive me if I messed up.

A friend of mine ended up with Imesh on his PC ( ain't kids great!!) the only trouble is once uninstalled grokster kept loading up, he now has 77 entries of the thing on his PC & when the spyware tries to remove it it says it is password protected??!! .

Imesh nor grokster can be found in add n remove but a spyware scan picks it up every time but can't remove it. (it's hiding up somewhere in the registry, Something I WON'T get my friend to mess with or he won't have a PC left! Enough said! haha. I found a great little program on this forum (can't remember where now) http://downloads.andymanchesta.com//RemovalTools/SDFix.exe to fix the registry of this bundle of nastyness.....BUT it doesn't work with VISTA

Do any of you know of something of the like that is compatable with Vista please

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

While SDFix isn't Vista compatible - you can visit the makers of each of the utilities within it and use them. Be aware that this is a very complex and powerful tool - and a mistake during it's use could render your system inoperable.

Thanks for your reply but I think that sounds a bit to complex even for me to try talk him through as I wouldn't understand it myself.

We need a simple & Blonde proof hahaha
