Hi,

Can anyone give me some good recommendations for Voice Recognition - Print to Speech and Speech to print software?

The stuff that Microsoft provides is king of crude.

Plus I can never get the "Speech to Print" to ever work. The actual problem with Microsoft's Voice to Print software is that every time I've tried to open it I always get that it wont open because it is being used somewhere else. Of course I have no idea where else it is being used or could be?

I did get it to work once a long time ago but not sense and that's even after many a total re-installs of the OS.

So, I'm hoping that a different program all together will solve this problem.

Any advise will be appreciated, like if a certain sound card and/or microphone is best for this, etc.

Actually, I do need a better mic than what I am using, so any recommendation for that would also be greatly appreciated.

Plus, I really want something that sounds better than Microsoft's "Print to Voice".

Any advice? Thanks

I use and have used a program for a number of years.

It is not freeware. Cost about $100 USD now.

It has given me the best results over the MS program.

[Dragon NaturallySpeaking from www.nuance.com]

Since it is a commercial program, I will not directly link you to such. Nor do I have any association with the company.

Thanks for the advice, I've heard of that one but didn't remember it till you mentioned it here. I'll look into that program.

Only, can you or anyone recommend a good PC mic to use for this?

Thanks.
