My case has a 3 pin pwr lead but the motherboard only has room for a 2 pin pwr lead. Do i shift over the PWR SW lead so it occupies 1 pin plus one blank slot? Suggestions on what to do?
The Mobo model is foxconn 661gx7mj-h.
Thanks

Most cases I've seen have the standard 2 lead momentary push button. Offhand, I can't think of any front panel control that uses 3 wires. Do you have an VOM meter? I would find the 2 wires that make/break contact and not even use the third

the middle connector is the useless one so I think I will spilce it out. But then the question is which one is positive and which one is negative?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an inline switch. It makes a difference with LED's because they're really one-way diodes
