Hey,
Is there a Linux distro that can read and write to NTFS?
Thanks

Ubuntu comes with native support. Otherwise all distros (at least all distros I know of) can be made to do so using packages from
http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ and following the installation instructions.

Ubuntu can do this without installing any additional software.

Hey again,
Will this work on a Ubuntu 7.10 Live CD as our PC has crashed and the drives are formatted NTFS and my External HDD is formatted as NTFS. I could reformat the External HDD as FAT32 as I have a Backup Partition that I am going to copy the files onto.
Thanks

Thanks!
If this doesn't work then I will use a Windows Live CD that I have just made with BartPE.
Thanks

I believe (not sure) Fedora has this built in now. However, many people are less than impressed with Fedora 8.

Thanks all for replying.
I have used Ubuntu 7.10 Live CD to copy the files from my Internal HDD to my External HDD although I had a problem with the External HDD not mounting so I had 2 format the partition to FAT32 and found out that the whole HDD formatted!! DAMN!
Thanks
