Hello everyone out there i recently bought a computer that came with a graphics card that is not good enough for the games i want to play.

While at newegg I found one that i could afford. however, i was wondering is there a way to attach a monitor that has an SVGA/Dsub plug to one that has a DVI-I port. I am really unsure about this. The only means of purchasing a graphics card is through prepaid credit card and the only card i can find does not have a SVGA port

Is this what you're looking for:
Arrow Micro DVI-8800 DVI (Female) to VGA (Male) Adapter

If that's not what you're looking for, you can find several other types, here:
Adapters & Gender Changers

Just a side note on DVI connections DVI-A is analog only, DVI-D Single link Digital only, DVI-I single link is digital and analog, DVI-D dual link is Digital only, and DVI-I dual link is digital and analog. All of this corresponds to what pins the connector has. The important part in this case is that it has the 4 analog pins surrounding the blade pin allowing you to use a DVI-VGA converter.
