This is a real bonehead type problem, not the tech wizard type thing you guys are used to.

I am replacing my 2nd harddrive (E: drive) and I can't get it out of the drive bay.
I removed the mounting screws but it is jammed in tight.

Looking around at tutorials for this kind of thing they say things like
"slide the drive in and out to line up the mounting screws when installing"

But this drive bay has the drive jammed in tight.
I'm afraid to get to physical with this thing.
Any advice?

Have you unscrewed the drive on both sides, if you have to.

Sometimes it comes out a lot easier if you tilt it maybe 45 degrees, if you got room for it. Instead of pulling it out.

Don't hit the drive. That's not healthy.

Only mounting screws on one side.
Right, it won't come out straight, I have tried to rock it back and forth but it barely moves.
I was kidding about the hammer.
I'll keep trying to work it out, but there is hardly any wiggle at all so it's hard to rock it out of there.

I hate to be redundant here, but are you sure that there aren't screws on the other side as well?

Actually, not a big concern, the drive is fubar, that's why I'm replacing it.
I just replaced the CD drive with a new dvd/cd drive and it just slid out no problem.
I remember that when I put in the drive that I'm replacing (a couple of years ago) I broke the
commandment about taking the Lord's name in vain because it was such a tight fit in the drive bay.
Actually, I think I have to loosen up the drive bay parts, it is just too tight a fit.

When I try to rock the drive in the drive bay, the drive bay moves more with respect to the case than the drive does in the bay.

And I know, everyone is gonna think there are screws in place but that's not the case.

I am gonna let it cool down for a few hours and see if that helps.

To reiterate, I did mention that I was being redundant. I didn't miss the fact that the question had already been asked.

I have had a few drives that I couldn't get out till I found that hidden screw

If you're trying to pull it out from the back, maybe you have to remove the front bezel and take it out through the front

This was the way.
Actually the drive bay was oriented side to side.
I had to remove the drive bay from the case in order to access the other end of the drive.
It still took a lot of force to push it out.
