Hi all,

I have run autoruns and I think it all looks good. Is it safe to assume that if something has been put in by Microsoft that its OK?

Also I have run before "StartUp List" and in the database some of these seem to be bad. They don't appear in autoruns.

For example Startup List tells me that kernel32.dll is Added by the Troj/Zlob-AP Trojan. and that I need to get rid of it. This does not appear anywhere on autoruns.

Could someone please explain this to me.

Thanks in Advance

Mark

Anything from Microsoft can be assumed to be legitimate, but not always good smile.gif. In all seriousness, you prob do not need to worry about those files.

As for kernel32.dll, if it is in C:\Windows\System32 then it is legitimate.
