Hi

Im in the same position only its worse!

I emailed the company at the email address they supplied and they recommended to me to download a patch that prevents the Windows Defender pop-up from appearing...unfortunately, it now means whenever I click certain links on regular websites I visit, they do not open and are instantly stopped.

I tried removing the stupid programme from Add/Remove programmes but the programme cannot be found...

Can anybody out there tell me how to get rid of this annoying programme...and lodge a complaint against the scumbag company that created this intrusive and time-wasting product?!

Cheers
TMacK
Hi GGW,

Others have successfully used the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to uninstall Defender.
Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

Also have a look at KBAlertz.com: Error message when you run Windows Defender.

Are you using Defender in Vista? If so, you can only disable Defender. It is a feature of Vista and part of the operating system so you cannot uninstall it.
