I got a friend of mine to install a new hard drive and some more ram and when we reloaded Xp pro it put my hard drive as drive E and my zip drive as drive C so when I go to install software it automatically wants to put it on the C drive and this particular software has no where to let me change where it is installed so I was wondering if there was a way to switch the E & C drive designations withe out messing any thing up

Go into your Bios settings and change the boot drive designations.

Set your H/D to drive "0" and your Zip drive to "1" then it should boot to your correct hard drive.

I think you will also have to set your h/d to master and your zip drive to slave too.
