Hi, i have a Dell Latitude D520 laptop with windows XP professional.
When i try to turn the volume control up, set the sliding scale at its highest, the sound is still very low. Also the quality of sound isn't very good ( sounds tinny). Is there any way i can upgrade this, or is there a solution to improve my sound. I have went into my "sounds and audio devices" on control panel to try and improve volume, controls are all set at the highest.
This is the following details of my A & Sound,
Sound and Audio Devices properties, Volume tab, Sigma Tel Audio.
Audio tab;Default device,Sigma Tel Audio; MDI music playback, Default device, Microsoft GS Wave table SW Synth.
If anyone could help would be greatly appreciated

Are you talking about the volume control in the System tray? What about Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment> Volume Control. See what those are all set at
