When trying to click on the date/time to change it, I'm getting the error message "This operation has been cancelled due to restriction in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator."

I figured, hey before I post, let's see if I can get into the date/time through control panel ... nope ... same message. While in control panel I started to try other areas and nowhere would let me in ... same error message. Right mouse on the desktop to get into properties ... error.

I'm not sure what is going on but some info for you so assistance may be offered.

I am logged in as the administrator ... it's my home computer.
Computer details
IBM StinkPad A22m, 1GH, 512M ram, win2000 Pro, v.5.0.2195 SP4 Build 2195, fully updated as of April '07.
Firewall/antivirus/maleware all show system is fine.

Internet has not helped yet, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not new to computers but I'm no genius either ...

BIG THANKS in advance
Eisles
Will it open if you run timedate.cpl? Also, would there be any group policy settings in place preventing the changing of the time/date? Run gpedit.msc to check if there are any group policies in place.
