Hi elmaje
hhmm, troubleshooting motherboards is a tedious process. unfortunatly, there isnt so much a test_mobo.exe,
i find something along the lines of VCOM's Fix-it utilities is a good test(www.v-com.com/product/Fix-It_Utilities_Home.html) Unfortunatly not free, it tests broad components on your motherboard(pretty effectivly i might add). something like BurnInTest will also do this(www.passmark.com/products/bit.htm).
if you are having hardware-specific problems with your pc, what fault-finding steps have you already taken?
EDIT: added links
I just notice they moved my posting to the right forum!!! sorry guys!!
hi 4ward_tristan,
Thanks for the link...I have done nothing yet to the motherboard, this is a laptop motherboard that I'm talking about.
the problem with this laptop is that it was shutting off and when you try to reeboot it, it wouldn't reboot to windows 2000,
so what I did so far, was to do a diskcheck /r that help a little bit, now I can open windows 2000 but still is shutting down, not that often as before...another tech told me that is the motherboard that is going bad, that's why I ask the question....
I will check the link you posted. thanks a lot.
