Hello again everyone,

It scans my computer two times in a row, sometimes three. Like it will go up to 20,000 or 30,000 files scanned and then go back to 0 and scan all over again and then reaches 60,000 files and stop. Lately, it has been scanning three times in a row and has found 140,000 files; 140,000 files WHAT IN THE WORLD blink.gif wacko.gif I know I do not have that many files on this laptop. And every time I try to update it, it never finds any new updated definitions, why?

I think it is obvious that the program is corrupted. Go to Add/Remove, click on it and see if there is a repair option. If not, I would suggest you uninstall it. If you have Vista, though, uninstalling is not an option. You can stop it from running.
If you have a problem with uninstalling or repairing or have Vista, let us know.

I went into control panel and when I clicked uninstall I told it to update itself. It did and I will test to see if it is still acting the same.

That's weird how it restarts itself.

However, are you sure you don't have more than 140,000 files? Whenever I use anything to scan my computer it always runs up to 350k+ files. Just a thought.

Best Regards
