ok i got a hp pav 1 year old i want to get rid of vista not partition it i dont have a vista cd and as usuall hp sends me to microsoft for support and they send it back cause its was oem so playing phone tag till they say ooh i can help you but it will cost 69 dollars so i i need a step by step instructions for a semi computer person i have a new xp legit with code cd with sp 2 wont let me downgrade till i delete vista HELPP PLZ!!!!!

You'll have to locate all the drivers for your HP (the XP one's - not the Vista one's). Once that's done, use a disk utility from the manufacturer of your hard drive to prepare the disk by wiping it clean. Then you should be able to install XP without any issues (make sure to have the drivers before starting this - otherwise you'll have an XP computer that doesn't work very well due to missing drivers).
