I have uninstalled AVG anti virus Pro and it shows no traces in the registry or in the hijack this log. I have Windows Vista and in the firewall it says the avg firewall is on. And whenever I turn on limewire it says it can't get thru the avg firewall. How do I get rid of the stupid firewall when I can't seem to find any trace of avg in my system??

Is it present in your Add/Remove Programs list?

To see, click start then run.
Type in appwiz.cpl and click enter.
Look and see if you have any program resembling AVG or AVG firewall.
If you do, click the remove button to remove it.

I use avg internet security home edition and limewire but i've had no problems with it mines works perfectly maybe you might of had limewire blocked or somthing but one thing youve goto be careful when using limewire i've all ready gotten a worm from a music file so be very carful what you download
