I bought a 23'' samsung tv with vga ports, so I could connect my computer to it. The first time i ever hooked it up, the tv detected the monitor right away and i could use it. Now, the tv does not detect my computer but has detected another computer with vista 32 bit. Both of the vga ports on my docking station and the one on the computer does not work. The computer i have is a sony vaio FE890.

According to what I know about LapTops, if you decide to have an external monitos the monitor in the LapTop will turn off. I have 2 monitors in my Desktop, but I got this by getting a Video card that had a VGA and a DVI port in it, I connected both monitors and I have dual monitor (Nvidia).
On a HP you click Fn + F4 and this will turn off the monitor in you NB, and will send the signal to the external monitor. But not both.

With my laptop, I could use both monitors like dual monitors. But, now my computer and tv dont detect each other so I'm thinking its a setting somewhere but I dont know which one.
