Lately on our main email which we give to no-one really other than ebay and such has had a increase in spam big time. I mean we get 30-40 spams a day now it seems!
Anyone else has more spam?

I get little spam on the many email addresses I have. Part of it is the controls I've set.
Realize CGM3, that any other address you communicate with may have been compromised and your address harvested from them.
Ebay! Bah Humbug. Too many there compromised or sell off/out?

At least for my part, I have not seen an increase in spam in my various accounts, although there have been spikes. Almost all of it is very similar in subject matter, and seems to be the result of spyware using random combinations to find a "hit."
I have to give a lot of credit to the companies providing E-mail services, though. All the received spam has been correctly and automatically identified and sent to the appropriate folder to be deleted.
Cheers,
John

Must just be me then because this is sad. I have my ISP junk filter on king kong mode and I still get all this spam.

The only way you can be sure of getting no SPAM is to not have an e-mail address.
It's funny, but I have another e-mail address that I use when I need to register with sites of dubious integrity (I like to live in the danger zone), and that one gets almost no SPAM. Maybe those sites' integrity isn't all that dubious, after all.

Mhhm I have three email addies for private use and eversince a
security company had a leak in their database, it seems I ve received loads of more spam :| . Generally, due to my activity in english speaking areas, I tend to get far more spam than any of my friends. I could kill most by deleting one of my email adresses (which i set in place for such), but I cannot recall
all sites i used it on and it might cause loss of subscription to some lol. I guess I ll just keep training my trigger finger and be heavy on deletion :

Out of over thirty e-mails I may find in my Inbox at any given time, there are usually no more than three or four junkers. Click, click, click, click, Spam button and it's done. Three seconds, max. Once in a while, if I'm in need of a laugh, I'll open one of those "Use Your Computer To Make A Gazillion Dollars In Just One Month!!!" scams. Once in a while, you'll run across someone that's put a new twist on the old Ponzi scam. But in the end, it's still just a scam.

I've seen an upscale within the last six months or so, but I have a pretty aggressive anti-spam layer.
I basically get mail from a yahoo account and a gmail account, and if their anti-spam filters don't catch the spam, Thunderbird's filter usually does.

Did you know that Spam is a dietary staple in the Hawaiian islands?
Just another bit of useless information to clutter up your brain. No thanks necessary.
