hi, i'm using ubunto feisty fawn on a IBM T20 laptop, for some reason it can take up to 3 or 4 attemps to boot. it can also fail to shut down properly. if anyone out there could possibly help me i would be eternally grateful.

Need more details. I got the fiesty fawn (ver 7.04), IBM T20. I need to know exactly what happens when you try to boot. What messages do you get on boot failure (exactly, verbatum, the messages you recieve) and what happens on shutdown failure. Be precise. Also, how did you install Ubuntu, downloaded, purchased, mailed or network CD/DVD. Did you have any problems or error messages during install. Is this the only operating system. Did it work fine befor and this is new or has it done this since install.
