So recently I've been wondering if my computer has a keylogger in it. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, then look at this:

Last month I had my computer hacked into by someone online. I have no idea how it happened, I don't download weird programmes from the internet or anything like that. I still can't think of how it happened :/
Anyway, the person who hacked into it managed to get my passwords and credit card details. They also had access to my email address, and they decided to use it one day. I found out by looking on paypal that they emailed a website (World of Warcraft I think) and complained saying they bought something on there, and they never got it. Not only that, MY money was used to buy it.
The reason they never got it was because I made sure credit card details were cancelled. So they payed for it, but it never got to the website. Hah.
Because of the amount of money and what had happened, the police got involved. They came to my house and everything and said they were very determined to find out who did it. At the moment, they have IT professionals looking further into it.
So now I'm paranoid about my computer having a keylogger. I got software that is made to detect them. The idea is, if the results show a log file, then there's a currently a keylogger. That file then gets sent to the person responsible for the keylogger, and then they have everything they need to know.
I scanned my computer 10 minutes ago, results show there is one right now. Great.
Does anyone know how it could of got there? I've checked if it's something off a downloaded file, and it's not.
Also, does anyone know how I could remove it?
