Hi. My D:\ Drive has recently stopped reading things, and I am looking to purchase a new one. I have a Dell Dimension 4700. My problem is that I'm not sure which to buy. I'm almost sure this one would work but I don't know : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106055

If it wont work, please help me find a new one. Thanks in advance! smile.gif

Yes, it will work. They're all standard, as long as you have the IDE (flat cable) connection

Alright. Thanks. Now when I install this into my PC, what am I to expect? I've installed RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce 7600, both being quite easy to install. Will this be of the like?

You'll have a few screws to remove and it should slide right out. Make sure the little plastic jumper in the back is set to the same position as the old one (master/slave) Hook up the ribbon cable, power cable and the connection for the sound card (if there is one) Try not to upset any other connections and you should be all set
