Full Version: Trying To Set Up Raid

I'm trying to set up a pair of disks in RAID (I'm debating 0 or 1) on my computer. I'm running Vista (32 bit) with a core 2 duo CPU (2.6) and an ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard. As best I can tell the board is RAID compatable. The drives are matching 160 gb but I had already formatted them with the WD software.

I have everything plugged in and I think I'm good as far a power, SATA connectors, etc. In my BIOS I've enabled RAID and my 3 drives are recognized as 2 - my C: is the SATA 320 GB drive and my D: is SATA0 Raid. During boot, it says "Healthy Stripe 0) or something like that.

However, when I boot Vista, I show my C: drive but for D: it only recognizes a single 160 GB drive (and I'm pretty shure it should recognize closer to 320GB).

If I need to go through a set-up proceedure in Vista, I don't know where it is or what to do, so any and all assistance is appreciated (and you'll likely need to be specific as I'm very much an amateur).

Thanks

While I'm not that familiar with RAID, if you've set it up as RAID 1 it should only show the capacity of the one drive (since the other drive is just a mirror of the first one).
