I think this is the correct forum for this question. As you can tell, I am a newbie so feel free to correct me!
I have a new HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop with pre-installed Vista and recently managed to suck in "about blank". Everywhere I looked , something called XespySE???? was recommended. I downloaded it but it stated it will not work on Vista. The pre-installed virus and spyware systems couldn't find it. Questions:
1. Now what?
2. The laptop now just has IE. Will Firefox offer any additional protection from "about blank" once we get rid of it? I have Firefox on my home PC and have never seen "about blank".

Thanks! You guys are the best!!

Super Antispyware is compatible with Vista. You can try that before posting a Hijack This log.

Install Super Antispyware. Run it in safe mode. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds.

The best protection from Driveby downloads of malware is Firefox with NoScript extension
