How to use IE7 RSS Feed support with Bleeping Computer (or any other RSS feed) When you go to any of the pages on BleepingComputer.com you will see that the Feed icon, next to your home icon, in Internet Explorer will become orange. This means that there are available feeds to subscribe to as shown in the image below with the blue arrow. ![]() Simply click on the down arrow, and select the feed you want to view. This will show the latest 20 items from the forum, the startup database, the tutorials, etc. While viewing the feed you can then sort it a few different ways, subscribe to it, and change the feed properties to set how often the feed is updated for you. To access a subscribed feed you would then click and change the feed properties You can then subscribe to this feed and it will be automatically updated even if you are not currently viewing Bleeping Computer. To access your subscribed feeds, from whatever site you are currently on, you can click on the Favorites Center button, shown with the red arrow in the image above, to access your saved feeds. For a more complete list of RSS feeds available here at Bleeping Computer you can visit our RSS Feed page. -------------------- |

When doing a repair install of Windows 98/ME/XP IE7 must be uninstalled prior to doing the repair Before attempting to do a repair install of Windows 98/ME/XP you must uninstall Internet Explorer 7. If you do not uninstall it then the resulting install will have a myriad of problems including Internet Explorer 6 not working correctly. Microsoft has a knowledge base article on this for XP here: How to perform a repair installation of Windows XP if Internet Explorer 7 is installed -------------------- |

For those who are having problems browsing sites that expect IE6, Microsoft has provided a tool that allows you to make it appear as if you are running IE6 when using IE7. More info here:
