Please download ewido security suite it is a free version of the program.
ewido manual updates Download CleanUp Install the program, dont run it yet, we will later. You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix. Please download FixWareout from one of these sites: http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/Fixwareout.exe Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal. When your system reboots, follow the prompts. Afterwards, HijackThis will launch. Please click Scan, and check the following items: O2 - BHO: SearchToolbar - {08BEC6AA-49FC-4379-3587-4B21E286C19E} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\teqkf.dll (file missing) O3 - Toolbar: SearchToolbar - {08BEC6AA-49FC-4379-3587-4B21E286C19E} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\teqkf.dll (file missing) O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{05D4BE16-5F20-436D-BC20-825A4AC01929}: NameServer = 85.255.114.90,85.255.112.15 O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0F7D935A-21BC-4CAC-A9B7-DBF0BF2E3267}: NameServer = 85.255.114.90 85.255.112.15 O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{50C73604-CE7E-4237-88BA-29F9EB3BEA93}: NameServer = 85.255.114.90,85.255.112.15 O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{05D4BE16-5F20-436D-BC20-825A4AC01929}: NameServer = 85.255.114.90,85.255.112.15 You will want to look for any entries similar to these O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dmgow.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmgow.exe or O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hgmos.exe] C:\Windows\System32\hgmos.exe The entry may not be exactly as the one above but the file name will start with dm O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dm***.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dm***.exe or O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [hg***.exe] C:\Windows\System32\hg***.exe Note: * = a randomly generated letter. I got this far then my systems 32.exe cmd screen comes up and prompts me to press any key. After this I am told "please make sure you have a working internet connection (which I do) or download bfu.zip (brute force uninstaller) manualy and extract the file BFU.exe From this address please http://www.merijn.org/files/ Press any key to continue... I don't know what this means so I press any key and the window dissapears. Back to desktop and no further on. This is getting a too complicated. Maybe I should just put my PC in for repair. PB |

Navigate to this site
http://www.tech-forums.net/computer/topic/29806.html Click the link that applies to your operating system and download the file. Double Click the file and when the smaller window appears, click Unzip and it will do the rest itself. Run through the steps of the fix again please. |

I've done what you said. same result I'm afraid.
What next, my desk top is getting pretty full. Also, no offence but I'm a bit wary about all this, I've no idea what most of these downloads are. Is there a real chance we will get to the bottom of this? PB |

OK,when the prompt fro BFU came up,did you allow the connection to be made?
What its doing is downloading a program to use for running a script,my Firewall pops up trying to block this connection. Did you get a popup window from your firewall? My bet is,your going to have to go into Nortons Firewall and click configure-> programs. Scroll that list and look for BFU,highlight, select remove. Restart and drop Nortons Firewall and Auto Protect Features and then try the fix again. This post has been edited by Cretemonster: Jan 20 2006, 06:09 AM |
