Hi,
I have been trying to configure a honeypot in VM using Bridged connection. It is because that I have a server running Windows Server 2008 Standard. It works just fine and I am happy with that system. It is a "weak" computer, it is running on Intel Atom 1.6 GHZ, 2 GB ram, Club 3 grafic card. It is meant to be a powersaver. And no UAC enabled. I have tried to install VmWare workstation, the same edition as I use here on my Vista. Works just fine. I can install it on Windows Server 2008 and I can get the dialog from which I can create a new VM. But I can't run the VM I have created. It dosn't give me an error message or anything, it simply just remain quite when I tries to open it. I have installed Sun's Virtual Box and it runs fine with a XP installation, even better than I thought if you think that it is a Atom processor. I just need a linux installation. Has somebody experienced anything similar? |
