Ive been trying to install linux for 3 days now. After all the OS'es ive tried. Only one that works is linspire and gos. I have an actual linspire cd, that i succesfuly installed to my hard drive but problem with that was there is no WPA option to connect to my network. So therefore in linspire, I have no internet.
With GOS, the only thing i can do is boot from live cd. I want to INSTALL the os to my hard drive!!!. I REALLY WANT TO INSTALL GOS!!!

HELP ME!!!

This is probably a dumb question, but have you tried letting it boot into the Live CD, then seeing if there was an install icon on the desktop or hidden in a menu somewhere?

Horribly dumb question. Yes I have, and none of them load. My computer is to slow. It even takes to long to load the live cd.

Thanks

Okay, I thought so. How much RAM do you have? I've read that it runs (slowly) on a machine with 128MB of RAM and a Pentium 4 processor.

EDIT: Once you find a working distro, this may help: http://www.enterprisenetworkingplanet.com/...cle.php/3594946

Have you tried looking on google for "lightweight linux distro"?

I found this version that may help you. http://vectorlinux.com/products/vectorlinu...tandard-edition

Here is the link to the hardware requirements: http://vectorlinux.com/products/vectorlinu...on#requirements

Hope this helps,
