Why isn't this thing able to 'recognize' one then? And how do I get the equivalent of taskman to run on here? Plus.. I know virus' are pretty rare for Mac's but this thing is running like crap and limewire was on here. lol. I know I probably sound like an idiot with this thing but I really need the help this time guys. Thanks ahead of time. -------------------- “Technology does not drive change -- it enables change.” -Unknown |

If the dmg isnt too big or full of confidential stuff, pm me and Ill have you send it to my email and Ill take a look at it.
Go to Applications>Utilities>Activity Monitory. Theres several things that could be slowing your mac down. Check Activity Monitor for any hog programs. Also check what you have for login items. Its located in System Prefs, under users. Try repairing Disk permissions using Disk utility. Theres a couple other things to try. Check this lifehacker post for details. Ok. From what I remember dmg files are pretty common with a Mac right? Why isn't this thing able to 'recognize' one then? And how do I get the equivalent of taskman to run on here? Plus.. I know virus' are pretty rare for Mac's but this thing is running like crap and limewire was on here. lol. I know I probably sound like an idiot with this thing but I really need the help this time guys. Thanks ahead of time. Is the DMG a download? Might have got corrupted or all the files didn't download. Run some maintenance to see if it'll run faster. If you don't need the apps you could do a fresh install if the original discs came with the Mac. http://www.apple.com/support/mac101/ http://thexlab.com/faqs/performance.html |
