ok i downloaded ms dos from Microsoft website and it went oddly wrong


it completely filled up my desktop with junk

the ms dos version is 6.22

You must've extracted the contents of the archive files to your desktop.
A manual cleanup is in order (delete/move 'em)
I find it's easier to just delete them all and start over.

oh i got it all done, i just had to get a ISO image and capture in BIOS in vurtual pc, but i am having trouble getting it to go to my c: witch has 390 mbs on it (the iso has a: witch has only 1.4 mb's on it)

What do you mean by “getting it to go to c:”? Do you mean the installation program? Do you mean C: in the virtual machine? DOS does not support NTFS systems, so make sure that your virtual hard disk is formatted for FAT32.
